1. Try other housing offers if you would prefer to stay  downtown, for example (besides the most common internet sites):

2. Broaden your search outside of Rennes, keeping in mind that you’ll have to find transportation to and from events (The bus and metro lines “STAR” are helpful: star.fr), say for example you plan on participating in the Gala or going out for a night on the town. Here you might still find some availabilities:

Below, you’ll find a list of local hotels in Rennes city center that within walking distance to the metro line. For now, there is only one metro line in Rennes. To go to the university, simply take the metro toward the “Kennedy” station and get off at “Villejean/University Rennes 2”. You will need about 15 minutes by metro to reach the university from the city center.
